New HP Pavilion Laptop loses wifi on shutting lid, persistant after reinstalling drivers

HP Recommended
Pavilion laptop 14-ce3xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Within hours of using this new laptop the wifi adapter disappeared after shutting the lid. Uninstalling and reinstalling from the device manage did not resolve the issue, I used an hard connection to reinstall the drivers (as I could see updates on pause on laptop possibly from it being online for the first time), although I suspect all that actually got it working was a restart as it has persistently lost the wifi options every time the lid has been closed since.

I have read about changing the mode for when the lid is shut - so presently on sleep and read about an update from CND - however as this is a brand new out of the box machine I am not happy to already start looking for fudges.

Should I return the laptop?
