We recently got new internet installed and I am struggling to get the printer to connect to it. I have connected the new WiFi to everything else in our business, but I am having trouble with the printer. I cannot get a direct resolution to my problem through the app even though I have followed all the instructions carefully. I tried chatting with a virtual assistant, but it just provided me with the same instructions as the app and took me in circles. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Please help!

Hi @CP4855 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand that setting up a new WiFi connection for your HP ENVY 6452e All-In-One Printer can be a bit frustrating. Let's go through the process step by step to ensure everything is set up correctly:
Printer Preparation:
- Turn on your printer and make sure it is in a ready state.
- Ensure that there is paper loaded in the input tray.
Check Wireless Status on Printer:
- On the printer control panel, press the wireless icon or open the Network Settings menu.
- Confirm that the wireless feature is turned on.
Run Wireless Setup Wizard:
- On the printer control panel, locate and select "Wireless" or "Network" settings.
- Choose "Wireless Setup Wizard" or a similar option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select your new WiFi network and enter the password.
Connecting Through HP Smart App (Optional):
- Ensure you have the HP Smart app installed on your mobile device.
- Open the app, and if prompted, sign in with your HP account.
- Tap on the "+" sign to add your printer.
- Follow the app's instructions to connect the printer to the new WiFi network.
Check WiFi Settings on Printer:
- Print a Wireless Network Test report from the printer's control panel to confirm if it is connected to the new network.
- Review the report for any errors or issues.
Restart Printer and Router:
- Turn off the printer and your WiFi router.
- Wait for at least 10 seconds.
- Turn on the router and wait for it to fully boot.
- Turn on the printer and check if it connects to the WiFi.
Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings:
- Sometimes, security software may block the connection. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software and try connecting again.
Manual Connection (if needed):
- If the automatic setup doesn't work, you may need to enter the WiFi details manually on the printer.
Firmware Update:
- Ensure your printer has the latest firmware. You can check for updates on the HP support website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
