HP Pavilion 15t

Hello, 

 

I ordered a couple of the HP Pavilion 15t laptops and it turns out the network card inside of it (Intel Wireless - AC 9461) is not compatible with Google Chromecast (confirmed by Intel and HP Support) so, through further talking with HP they said they their SmartFriend support can configure the device to get it to work....if that is truly the case, i cant believe they do not come ready to go from the factory if they can just "configure" it to work. 

 

Has anyone heard of this? and if so this working? I am trying not to return 4 laptops if this will work.....

 

Also, Google does not have a "list" of adapters that do NOT work so its basically guess and check apparently even though I never thought this could be a problem.
