This morning when I turned on my HP SPECTRE laptop I had no Bluetooth. I have rebooted and did a Cold Start. My latest Windows update was a week ago. Get Help said "This device does not have Bluetooth". No Bluetooth drivers
are being loaded.

Hi @MikeyT357,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like your HP Spectre laptop is no longer detecting Bluetooth functionality. Let's go through some steps to try and resolve this issue.
Check Device Manager
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Look for Bluetooth in the list. If it's missing, expand Network Adapters and see if any Bluetooth device is listed there.
- If there's no Bluetooth device listed or there's an unknown device, try these steps:
- Right-click on the blank space and select Scan for hardware changes.
- If that doesn't show the Bluetooth device, look for any devices with a yellow triangle or error symbol. If found, right-click on them and choose Update driver or Uninstall device and then restart your laptop.
Check Bluetooth Settings
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Go to Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
- If Bluetooth is missing from the list, proceed to the next steps.
Run Windows Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Bluetooth and run the troubleshooter to identify and resolve potential issues.
Reinstall Bluetooth Driver
- Go to the HP Support Website and search for your model to download the latest Bluetooth drivers for your HP Spectre.
- Install the drivers and restart your laptop.
Check BIOS Settings
Sometimes, Bluetooth might be disabled in the BIOS.
- Restart your laptop, and as it boots, press the Esc or F10 key to enter the BIOS.
- Look for the Integrated Peripherals or similar section, and make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
- If it is disabled, change the setting, save, and exit the BIOS.

System Restore (if issue started recently)
If the problem started after a recent update and nothing else works:
- Search for "System Restore" in the Start menu.
- Select Create a restore point, then click System Restore.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your system to a point before the issue began.
Check for Windows Updates
- Sometimes new updates can fix hardware-related issues.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check for any available updates.
- Install any updates that are pending and restart your laptop.
After following these steps, let me know if you're able to restore Bluetooth functionality!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
