Im not sure what happened. I'm inexperienced with computers however I do know I recently received an update to windows 10. My internet for this computer is wireless. I changed nothing only to find that I have no network even my wireless icon has disappeared completely. if itry to do anything pertaining to the network all I get is a blue continuous circle which doesnt allow me to go forward with any steps. Since I have no internet I am limited as to what steps I can take such as finding drver app solutions. Any thing you can do to assist would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Thanks for the reply. I understand that your computer is not booting to the desktop.
Did you make any changes on your computer?
Do you have any external devices connected?
Were there any updates being installed before this issue started.
Recommend you to do a hard reset on the computer.
Disconnect the battery and power cord.
Hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
Connect the battery and the power cord and Turn the computer ON.
If the issue persists.
Do a hard reset again.
Connect only the power cord and Turn the computer ON and check if the computer boots to the desktop.
Try to boot the computer to BIOS and restore BIOS to defaults.
Recommend you to turn the computer ON and keep tapping ESC or F10 on startup to enter BIOS.
Let me know how it goes.

Greetings @vinnied,
Thanks for the post.
I understand that you are unable to connect to your Wireless network and the network icon is missing from the taskbar. Happy to help.
Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.
Have you checked in device manager if the network adapter is enabled?
To get the network icon on the taskbar.
Click on the Windows button.
Select settings.
On the Settings Window.
The first icon is 'System', click on it.
On the System settings window, click on Notifications and actions.
There you have an option to Select which icons appear on the taskbar.
Enable network icon there.
For you to be able to connect to your network, follow the procedure mentioned below.
Open device manager by doing a right-click on the Windows button.
Please check if the wireless adapter is enabled in device manager (check if there are any errors)
Open network and sharing center by doing right-click on the network icon the taskbar.
On the network and sharing center screen, select the option on the left - change adapter settings.
This would display the network adapters on the computer.
Right-click on the wireless adapter and check if it is enabled and try to connect to your network.
Recommend you to connect to 2.4Ghz network instead of 5Ghz network, in case you are using a dual band router.
You can refer to HP PCs - Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet for assistance.
Let me know how it goes.

thanks for the help however now I'm having a looping problem where the computer restarts over and over not giving me enough time to do anything. i guess there is an update that is supposed to prevent this. How to sownload it without internet is my next problem. Sadly computer probably has only 5 to 10 ours on it and is now rendered useless.
