HP laptop 17-by1033dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Unable able to connect to wi-fi (wireless options/ networks aren’t even available under settings), able to connect to internet via Ethernet. Tried every trouble shooting technique listed (updates, factory reset, etc) still nothing. YouTube says I may have to replace wi-fi chip but that seems too complicated for this model. Just purchased 5-6 months ago. Any other solutions?

Hi

Obvious question is ...

Does the Wi-Fi adapter show up anywhere?

Hidden Devices.png

Can it be accessed?

Copy, Paste and Save in Notepad, as LBB.bat (not a .TXT) and double click to run.
Preferably run as an Administrator.
OR
Copy and use the individual command lines as needed.

Post anything non-personal, but relevant please.

@Echo OFF
getmac
netsh lan show interfaces
netsh wlan show interfaces
netsh wlan show drivers
PAUSE
systeminfo
PAUSE
msinfo32
Pause
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver"
Pause
PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed"
PowerShell -Command "Test-NetConnection"
PAUSE

>getmac
