Older HP Laptop ProBook 4530s. I lose internet connection when my WIFI shows connected.

Hi, I keep getting error that my internet connection is lost. The connection show that I am connected. I connected using an ethernet cable and experienced the same issue. Certain sites will not load and time out. I can connect with both my business and personal emails, and ever did some on line banking. The problem starts when logging into Face Book. It opens, but as soon as I select "Notifications" or messages, nothing happens and I get the "Lost internet connection. When I close FB, I cannot connect to any other sites. I know I have a connection and it not a problem with my router, as I have two  iPads. and one TV uses wireless connection: all work fine. The problem appears to only be with my laptop, and other than some websites not loading, starts when I go to FB. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. I really think it is time for a new computer.

Hi:

Your notebook was not supported by HP for W10 and the supported wifi adapters are old, and probably no drivers other than the default drivers installed by W10 exist.

The ethernet adapter...that should be working properly.

The only suggestion I can offer to see if you can get the ethernet adapter to work better than it is now, would be to update the ethernet driver to the latest version directly from the Realtek website.

Download, unzip and run the setup application from the W10 driver at the link below...
