My computer wont connect to internet, it connects to the wifi but not the internet and I've tried everything, resetting my router, unplugging it from the wall, resetting my computer (many many times), uninstalling and reinstalling drives, nothing works, I cant hardline it into the internet because I dont have a port for a cable, I dont know what to do

Hey,
That sounds really frustrating.  I’ve had the same issue before where Wi-Fi connects but there’s no internet. Since you’ve already tried resetting the router and reinstalling drivers, it’s probably not the hardware itself but a network configuration issue in Windows.

Try this:

  1. Forget and reconnect to your Wi-Fi:

    • Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi → Manage known networks, click your network, and hit Forget.

    • Reconnect and enter your Wi-Fi password again.

  2. Reset network settings completely:

    • Open Settings → Network & Internet → Status → Network reset.

    • Click Reset now, then restart your computer. This will reinstall all network adapters and reset everything to default.

  3. Check the IP and DNS:

Open Command Prompt (type cmd, right-click → Run as administrator) and run these commands one by one:

netsh winsock reset

netsh int ip reset

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

ipconfig /flushdns

  •
  • Restart afterward and see if the connection works.

If it still says “connected but no internet,” try connecting your laptop to a different Wi-Fi (like a phone hotspot) . if that works, the problem is with your router’s connection to your ISP. But if it doesn’t, it’s definitely something in Windows, and a full network reset or reinstalling the wireless adapter driver from HP Support should fix it.
