Microsoft Windows 11

I've recently purchased a HP Pavilion. It is randomly dropping the Wi-Fi. it also randomly starts working again. It is not the router because I have another laptop in the same room with no issues.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi@paul739,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP Pavilion Laptop Wi-Fi keeps dropping.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Try updating the drivers for network adapters from device manager.
  • Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics is a Windows-based utility that allows you to run diagnostic tests to determine whether the computer hardware is functioning properly. The tool runs within the Windows operating system in order to diagnose hardware failures.
  • Try doing Reset PC Keep my files and check if it works.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
