Product: Hp 14
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a  new window 10 pro, HP 14 system.

I also have a Samsung phone and a fairly new tecno phone. 

 

The issue is, my Tecno Android which is fairly new, when connected to my PC doesn't show up, it only charges.  The USB preference option doesn't come up, the device doesn't show up on device manager at all. 

 

On the contrast, the Samsung phone when connected to my PC via the same usb3.0 ports works perfectly

That means nothing wrong with USB port on your machine. The culprit is your phone.
