Welcome to the HP Community --

No need to YELL in UPPER CASE -- we understand you are unhappy.

I am sorry you lost an hour of your time.

What happened?

  • You will lose all connections on the computer when it is restarted.
  • If you are using the computer for a Chat session, then the Chat session is lost when the computer is rebooted.

If, for example, you are using a different device for the Chat session, then the Chat session on that device is not impacted by restarting the computer.

What can we do?

Unfortunately, we can do nothing -- the session is lost.

Not sure with whom you were having a Chat conversation --

Our HP Community does not support Chat.

Hopefully, you did not let someone you do not know into your computer.

Scammers sometimes (frequently) want access to your private information AND they want to log into your computer.

It is usually bad news and can be catastrophic to let someone dig around in your stuff.

What?

We are a message board -- our interaction is as you see it:

Customer posts a question in the Community

If the question can be answered by one of our members,

(then)

The answer will be posted back here in the Community.

What to do?

Up to you...

You can ask a question here in the Community.

Reminder – New Post – Post New Question

When you submit your question to the Community,

Increase your chances of receiving an answer ---

Provide as much information as possible about the product and the problem.

For example,

  • Provide the exact model of the device and the Operating System / version
  • Tell us what you have tried to fix the problem.
  • As best you can, describe the issue for which you are seeking our help.
