Hi @Shazza19,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When your HP printer says it's busy, it typically indicates that there's some ongoing process or issue that's preventing it from accepting new print jobs. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue.

Restart the Printer: Sometimes, simply turning the printer off and then back on can resolve temporary issues.

Check Printer Connections: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network and that your phone or iPad is also connected to the same network.

Clear Print Queue: If there are any pending print jobs stuck in the queue, try clearing them out:

  • On your iOS device (iPhone or iPad), go to Settings > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and then tap "Print Queue". Remove any pending print jobs.
  • On an Android device, go to Settings > Apps > Print Spooler, and then tap "Cancel All Documents".

Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes fix bugs and improve performance.

Check for Paper Jams or Errors: Make sure there are no paper jams or error messages on the printer's display panel that might be causing it to be busy.

Reset the Printer: If none of the above steps work, you may try resetting the printer to its factory settings. This should be done as a last resort and only if you are comfortable setting up the printer again from scratch.

Reinstall Printer Drivers: If you are printing from a computer, ensure that the printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes reinstalling the drivers can resolve communication issues between the devices.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
