I have a similar problem. bluetooth does not work and does not appear in the device manager. Notebook HP Pavilion dv6-7051er. Just a few time ago I installed win10. wifi is working, other devices seem to be workig too. the problem is only in BT... tried all drivers for win7 and win8. Tried to delete Broadcom wifi in device manager.... Nothing helps. the system just does not see the bluetooth. FCC ID: QDS-BRCM1051i. Broadcom radio model: BCM94313HMGB.

Hi:

If there is no bluetooth device manager category, it may have been turned off during the upgrade from W7 to W10 in the connection manager.

See if you can turn on the bluetooth by making a bootable Ubuntu installer.

https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop

Here is a tutorial on how to make the file bootable.

https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/create-a-usb-stick-on-windows#1-overview

Boot from the installer.  Select the option to 'Try Ubuntu without installing.'

Turn on the Bluetooth, exit out of the installer, shut down the PC, remove the installer, restart the PC and now the Bluetooth icon should be present.

If you need to install a driver use this one...

Thank you for your answer!

I tried what you advised. In ubuntu entered Settings -> Bluetooth....

"Bluetooth adapter not found". Like this....

I dont know how its possible. I thought BT and WIFI are on the same adapter...

Can you help?

You're very welcome.

If your notebook has a Broadcom 4313 wifi adapter, that is a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter.

The BT radio on the circuit board must have gone bad on you.

What model processor does your notebook come with?

You may be able to upgrade that card to a dual band wifi card with bluetooth if it has an Intel core processor.
