Did you buy WWAN card option for your machine ? Without WWAN option, your SIM card is useless. Please check your machine, does it has one of the following options first:

  • HP lt4120 Qualcomm Snapdragon X5 LTE Mobile Broadband Module
  • HP lt4132 LTE/HSPA+ with 4G Mobile Broadband Module
  • HP hs3210 WW HSPA+ with GPS Mobile Broadband
note:
WWAN modules must be preconfigured and require Windows operating system. WWAN connection requires wireless data service contract, network support, and is not available in all areas. Contact service provider to determine the coverage area and availability. Connection speeds vary due to location, environment, network conditions, and other factors. 4G LTE not available on all products, in all areas.

Thanks for your revert Banhien.

I do not seem to have WWAN card as I bought the machine from my office as I moved out. I doubt if there was a card prefitted therein.

However I am seeing the following under SOFTWARE in DEVICE MANAGER

HP LAN/WLAN/WWAN Switching and Hotkey Service

Does this help in any way.

I inserted the SIM card but nothing happened.

Please help.

Thank you in advance.
