Realtek RTL 8821CE 802.11 AC PCIe Adapter drops off

This Windows computer periodically drops its Wifi connection.  I've updated to what I believe is the latest driver (2024.0.10.226). The internet and wifi router are not the problem since other devices have no issue. The strength of the signal is fine. Simply disconnecting from the wifi and reconnecting typically solves it but the problem happens very frequently. My guess is that there is a setting within the driver's configuration that will improve compatibility but that's just a guess. Any suggestions on what to try next? HP Laptop Model: 15-DY2056MS

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to update the Wi-Fi driver to the latest version...

Paul,

I've read so many posts from you and had high hope that you would help me with some clever configuration customization that I could try. Interesting tid-bit: when I'm playing a video it never seems to drop off. I'm sure that's a clue!

I tried a relatively recent driver update but will try this one and see if it makes a difference. Thanks,
