HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2J4W0AV)

After my Windows 11 laptop was one month old, it no longer turned on. The motherboard was completely dead, and it had to be sent back for replacement.

Upon returning from HP, sure, the laptop turned on, but the WIFI was suddenly really poor in both range and download speed. I can move no further than about 15-20 feet from my router.  Even when sitting right next to my router, I get about 30-40 Mbs download speed on google's "Wifi speed test" page, as opposed to my other laptops which can achieve about 10x faster.

All the other laptops I own work from every corner. But HP Support insists there must be some interference in my house.

I've noticed my laptop sometimes connects with network band 2.4GHz, sometimes 5. Either way, same problem.

I've already tried updates, rolling back updates, uninstall device, scan for hardware changes etc.

What are some basic checks I can do to help diagnose the problem? Is it worth simply to run in a new Wifi network adapter?

Are there things to try changing in the Advanced Properties under Device Manager, i.e. Roaming Aggressiveness?
