pavilion gaming pc
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can connect to my main wireless access point just fine.  I want to use this in a different part of the house, but it can't even see the access point I have there.

Access point can be seen by other devices just fine (Android cell and chromebook and Xbox).  Previous Win10 Pc could also use access point just fine, but it broke and this is the replacement.  I have reset the access point and played with settings (security, channel...).

Access point is a Netgear wnr1000v3 running as an access point connected to an Xfinity router via Ethernet (this is the one I can connect to just fine)

Any ideas?
