HI my Realtek RTL8188EE-VJ 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter on my HP laptop has stopped working, I have tried downloading newest drivers, factory reset but nothing helped. I have eventually sent my PC to service, where I have been informed that my WLAN adapter is not working anymore. Since they asked absolutelly ridiculous amount for replacement, I decided to do it on my own.

While Realtek RTL8188EE-VJ 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter is cheap the shipping to Europe costs pretty much double the price of adapter. To my understanding thi is not good adapter to begin with anyways, so I am looking for compatible substitute that can be found on European market. Any suggestions?

Hi:

You can replace the card with this dual band AC model with bluetooth...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express,

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15

The card will have the same throughput as the RTL8188EE on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band, it will have a max throughput of 433 MBPS when you have an AC router with an excellent wifi signal strength.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure.

You're very welcome.

Unless the motherboard's wifi M.2 slot is bad, the card should work just fine.

Here are the latest wifi and bluetooth drivers for it.

W10 should install the drivers automatically but they will be older than these...
