Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello everyone,
I have HP pavilion g6 2260ew with Ralink RT3290 802.11 bgn wlan module.
I would like to replace this card with one that supports 5ghz frequency.
Has anyone done a similar procedure? and can tell me what card is compatible with my computer.
Thank you for all your messages.

Zero.

Hi:

There are no dual band Wi-Fi cards officially supported by HP for the g6-2200 model series.

c03593126.pdf (hp.com)

If you want to experiment with one, you can try this model:

Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo   HP part # 724935-001

You should be able to find the card on eBay.

Search by the HP part number, not the model of the Wi-Fi adapter.
