HP OMEN CE031TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ever since I bought this laptop, I've been having issues with the wifi adapter but i assumed it was the stock router from my isp. I ended up buying a new RT-AC68U to try and solve the issue but instead found out that the one that is not working properly was my wifi adapter. First solution for me was using my phone and connecting to the network and enable usb tethering to access the internet on my HP Omen laptop. After a few months i i got myself the Tp Link usb wifi adapter and it worked till it died. So i i mov on to the Asus Ac53-nano and I've been using it for months and it broke due to too much plugging and unplugging (not sure of cause). And now I'm still left with no adapter except for this RTL8822BE which is still causing me heavy ping spikes in all games like GTAV, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Counter Strike, Rust, Valorant ,Dota 2 and even League of Legends. Basically unplayable using this wifi adapter. I've tried solutions like flushing dns, clearing network cache changing ip address, reinstalling windows, reinstalling drivers, updating drivers, disabling adapter and re-enabling it. Nothing worked, and the moment I found out about this I knew I could do nothing, if I get warranty I will get the same RTL8822BE so there is no point. I am now considering to replace it with Asus PCE Ax3000 wifi adapter with the lesson learned, never buying from HP ever again.

Welcome to HP support community.

Update the Bios, chipset and network drivers using HP Support Assistant.

Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
