Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have low signal on my Wi-Fi whenever I connect a Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse (Model RJN-00025). When the mouse is disconnected, the Wi-Fi start working correctly.

I have tried updating drivers of Realtek card to version 2024.0.10.209 and 2024.0.10.220, network repair with HP Support Assistant among other options but nothing is working. I have two laptops of the same model and this is happening on both, one has Windows 10 1909, the other Windows 10 20H2.

I have read in other posts in this forum that this network card is single band and that could be the problem. If there is no other way to fix this I'd like to know which network cards with dual band supports this laptop so I can reinstall and start using de 5Ghz band.

Thank you in advance 😊

Hi:

You can replace the single band RTL8723DE wifi card with the dual band AC model.  This one...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express,

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15

The card will have the same 72 MBPS throughput as the original wifi card on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band, it will have a max throughput of 433 MBPS when you have an AC router with an excellent wifi signal strength.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure.
