I want to replace the old adapter with a more powerful with support for 5 GHz. I bought an "Intel WiFi 6 ax200", but the laptop does not see it, it does not even appear in the device manager. What could be the problem?

Hi:

 

Your notebook has a BIOS whitelist.

 

You can only install one of the wifi cards listed in the service manual.

 

Also the AX200 needs two antenna cables to work and yours only has one, doesn't it?

 

For some reason, two folks were able to get a Realtek 8821CE AC wifi adapter to work in the 250 G4 model...see these discussions...

Hi  . Thanks for you feedback. Regarding the antenna cables, the old original adapter also requires two antenna cables, but connected only one, so i don't think that it's a problem.

The antenna isn't the major problem.

 

It is the notebook that will only take certain model wifi cards, and the AX200 isn't one of them.

 

What was the original wifi card you removed?
