@AVIS26, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

Let's work together to restore Wi-Fi connectivity on your HP ENVY x360 15.6" Laptop.

Issue: Wi-Fi icon missing and unable to connect to network

This usually happens due to one of the following:

  • Wi-Fi adapter is disabled or missing
  • Network drivers are corrupted or outdated
  • Airplane mode is enabled
  • BIOS or Windows updates are pending

Step-by-step Troubleshooting

Step 1: Check Airplane Mode

  1. Press Windows + A to open the Action Center.
  2. Make sure Airplane Mode is turned off.
  3. If Wi-Fi is not listed, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Check Device Manager for Wi-Fi Adapter

  1. Press Windows + X → select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Network adapters.
  3. Look for a device like Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 or similar.
    • If it's missing, click View > Show hidden devices.
    • If it's disabled, right-click and choose Enable.
    • If there's a yellow warning icon, update or reinstall the driver.

Step 3: Reinstall Wireless Driver

  1. Go to the official HP driver page for your model: Official HP® Support
  2. Download and install the latest Wi-Fi driver under Network Driver section.
  3. Restart your laptop after installation.

Step 4: Run HP Network Check

Use HP's built-in diagnostics:

  1. Open HP Support Assistant (search in Start menu). HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
  2. Go to Troubleshooting and FixesNetwork and Internet.
  3. Run the Network Check tool.

Step 5: BIOS Update (if needed)

Sometimes a BIOS update resolves hardware detection issues:

  • On the same HP driver page, check for the latest BIOS update under BIOS section.
  • Follow on-screen instructions carefully.

Still not working?

If the issue persists:

  • Try a System Restore to a point when Wi-Fi was working.
  • Or perform a Windows Network Reset:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
