There are available networks but my laptop won’t pull them up for me to connect

Hi,

My laptop will not show available networks but it saying that they are available to connect to. My task bar will not pop up when I click on it, nor will the WiFi icon, or the start button in the opposite corner. I cannot pull up available networks through connection settings either. When I trouble shoot it says “none of your previous networks are in range, please pick from the list of available networks” then the next step says “show me available networks” I click that and it says see if problem is fixed. But, it never showed me the list.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Do you have other devices that are connected to these Networks?

Try reinstalling the Wireless driver from Device Manager and check if that helps

- Select the Start  button, type Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.
- Look for Network Adapters and expand the List
- Look for Wireless driver then right-click it, and select Update Driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If these steps don't work, try reinstalling the driver: Open Device Manager, right-click the Wireless driver and select Uninstall. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

Keep me posted
