Envy
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I keep getting an error message when I try to install the drivers for a new Envy printer into an older Envy laptop. I have successfully installed the printer with a Chromebook and 2 smartphones and ecerything is on the same home network. I've tried the Direct connection with the WEP method and I have downloaded the driver package, each multiple times and I'm still unable to print from the Envy. I can print fromall 3 of the other devices without problems.

I see that you are in need of support. As you've mentioned you are able to print from another device apart from HP Envy laptop, this sounds like driver related issue.

 

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

What are the exact HP envy laptop and HP printer product number? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 

(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums? ( on HP envy laptop )

When was the last time it worked without these issues?

Have you attempted a system restore?

What is the exact error message while installing the printer software?
