@PrashantParate,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the WiFi icon is missing on your HP Pavilion laptop and you cannot connect to WiFi, try the following steps.

Check If WiFi Is Enabled

  • Press Fn + F12 (or the key with a wireless icon) to toggle WiFi.
  • Check if Airplane Mode is on:
    • Windows: Press Win + A → Disable Airplane Mode.

Restart Your Laptop

  • Restart your laptop and check if the WiFi option appears.

Enable WiFi Adapter in Network Settings

  1. Press Win + R → Type ncpa.cpl → Press Enter.
  2. Look for WiFi (if it's disabled, right-click and choose Enable).
  3. If WiFi is missing, go to Device Manager:
    • Press Win + X → Device Manager.
    • Expand Network Adapters.
    • Look for a WiFi adapter (e.g., Realtek, Intel Wireless, or Broadcom).
    • If you see a disabled icon, right-click → Enable.

Update or Reinstall WiFi Drivers

  • Open Device ManagerNetwork Adapters.
  • Right-click the WiFi adapter → Update driverSearch automatically.
  • If updating doesn’t work, try Uninstall device → Restart your laptop (Windows will reinstall it).

Run Network Troubleshooter

  1. Press Win + I → Network & Internet.
  2. Click Network troubleshooter and follow the prompts.

Check BIOS (If WiFi is Missing in Device Manager)

  • Restart the laptop and press F10 to enter BIOS.
  • Look for Wireless LAN and ensure it’s enabled.

Check Hardware Issues

  • If no WiFi adapter appears in Device Manager or BIOS, the WiFi card may be faulty.
  • If possible, try using an external USB WiFi adapter to test connectivity.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
