Can I upgrade my broadcom bcm4312 802.11b/g in my laptop to one that is running 802.11ax or 802.11ac?  Can't afford a new laptop during the pandemic.

Thanks much for any help or advice you could offer.

Your machine is too old, probably 10 years old now. Due to the whitelist you can't upgrade wifi adapter to a new one. Option: use USB adapter, there are many around and cheaper than the following example

    or with Bluetooth

Yes, it is old but it still works.  I've upgraded the RAM to the max and was looking for other ways to improve performance.  Any low cost ideas/solutions you could offer would be most appreciated.

Thanks!
