Product: Pavilion G7-1330dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Have a G7-1330DX with a Broadcom BCM4313 WIFI/Bluetooth card. I want to upgrade the card to AC compatable.  What WIFI card can I install in this laptop?

Your machine was built around 2011/2012 therefore due to the whitelist, the chance to upgrade machine to AC wifi card is none. Option

Please check your BIOS version. I think the latest is F.6A released June 2013.  I believe HP abandoned BIOS whitelist for Windows 8 (released Oct 2012) laptop. So there may be a chance there is no whitelist in your HP.

 

I have g7-2340dx with F.2A BIOS (though a later 2016 release). Just installed Intel 7260 wifi/bluetooth card with success. See this link.
