Pavilion DC72BJVD
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to upgrade my Pavilion to enable a 5G Wifi usage. Currently the Realtek Wifi Adapter RTL8723BE is used. Which hardware do I need to order?

Any help would be great

Hi:

The model info you posted doesn't reveal any info I can use.

Please post the product number of your notebook.

The product number can be found on the same label as the serial number.

Please do not post the serial number.

Or use this guide to find the info regarding your notebook's model number/product number.

You're very welcome, Markus.

Your notebook only has one wifi antenna connected to the Realtek wifi card in there now, so your only option for a direct replacement upgrade to the wifi card would be to see the info at the discussion below...

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/Replacing-WiFi-Bluetooth-Adapter/td-p...

The RTL8821CE wifi card would have the same performance as your current card on the 2.4 GHz wifi band and up to 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz wifi band, as long as it has an excellent wifi signal.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.  The wifi adapter R & R procedure can be found in chapter 6.
