HP Envy 15-as102ur
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have HP Envy 15-as102ur with Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 and I want to replac it with Intel® Wireless-AC 9260.

I know it might be restricted by BIOS (or anythig like that).

Can I replace my wifi module to Intel® Wireless-AC 9260?

If no, are there any other options? I'm totally disapointed in AC 7265 (internet connection is unstable)

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, you can replace it as there is no longer whitelist. So just remove the old one and insert new one and Windows should take care of the drivers.

On page 37 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the module:

Hope it helps,

David
