Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is there a way to upgrade my wireless card to 5ghz? My laptop is a hp 15-bs115dx. I have 400mbps internet and all my devices that will connect to the 5g are getting that speed but my laptop will only connect to the 2g and on a good day I am lucky to get 50 mbps on my laptop on the 2g. I would like to upgrade to the 5g. Anyone know if this is possible and if so, what one could I buy that would be compatible? TIA

Hi:

The is one model dual band AC wifi card you can upgrade to...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

You can find this model on eBay, or the HP parts store.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15

https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/default.aspx

The card has the same throughput as the RTL8723DE card on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router, it has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure...
