Hi.

Having an HP Pavilion 15-n077so and wondered if the WiFi chip can be replaced. It gives 70/70 now, little harsh. Do not need to be 2.4 and 5, just fast. Bluetooth is not necessarily but an bonus.

Hi:

You can upgrade to either one of these cards:

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + BT 4.0    HP Part # 710661-001

Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo  HP Part # 724935-001

You should be able to find either one of these cards on eBay.  Search by the HP part number.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the Wi-Fi card removal and replacement procedure.

Thank you!!

You have any suggestions on RAM?

I think the max is 16Gb (8+8)?

Or should I ask, is there anything I need to think of except it being DDR3 and max 8GB per card?

HP Recommended

You're very welcome.

Yes, your notebook supports 2 x 8 GB of memory.

You need to use DDR3L-1600 memory (1.35V).

See if you can get either of these chips in Sweden:

Amazon.com: 8GB, 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3-12800, : Everything Else

Timetec 8GB DDR3L / DDR3 1600MHz (DDR3L-1600) PC3L-12800 / PC3-12800(PC3L-12800S) Non-ECC Unbuffered...

Sorry...I never received an e-mail notification from HP of your reply yesterday, or I simply missed it.

Yes, either of the memory chips on the links you posted would be fine.

I'd go with the Timetek since it is much less expensive.

No worries!

Ok. Are they reputable tho?

Never heard of them before.

I've never used Timetek memory myself, but there is another expert on this forum that has indicated that memory works fine.
