Does the USB-C port of the laptop HP15S-FQ1442ND support video data??? I am trying to connect a display with a USB-C docking station (and a HDMI cable) but it doesn't work.
On the phone the service guy said the USB-C port does not support video but the Dutch datasheet of the laptop mentions it does (see below).
So who is right ??

@Warner64 Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you would like to know the USB C type port can connect the USB-C docking station.
Unfortunately, the USB C type port is not having a thunderbolt symbol (power symbol). It is not possible to connect any display devices.
USB Type-C port -Connects a USB device, such as a cell phone, camera, activity tracker, or smartwatch, and provides data transfer.
NOTE: Cables and/or adapters (purchased separately) may be required.
Please refer the following manual

Thanks for answering.
The specifications are clear now, but it is a pity that the Dutch datasheet of the product mentions the use of a display as a possibilty of the USB-C port. All the resellers copy this spec from the datasheet in their product-specs.
Bit misleading, don't you think .........

I understand your concerns.
All HP models do not have a thunderbolt port. It depends on the product configuration.
I would suggest you contact our HP shopping team or contact our phone support.
Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.
1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
Have a nice day!!
