probook 4530s
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Dear HP,

it seems this WIDI is headache for a lot of people out there, me i cannot install this WIDI on my HP probook 4530s its saying my wireless card is not compatible with inter WIDI (R) and my processor is not compatible with inter widi (r) and my wireless driver cannoy find or load neccessary components for inter and finaly my graphics driver cannot find or laod necessary cpmonents, in the bottom line everything seems not compatible with this **bleep** widi, sorry my language but suckssssss.

i have an HP probook 4530s  intel coreTM i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz 64bit disaster program.

the only solution to buy another laptop what a program.

You're very welcome.

Therein lies your problem.

The atheros wireless card is not widi capable.

Consult the 4530s service manual, Chapter 3 page 25 and get the Intel 6230 one if the country you live in is listed there.

The BIOS has a whitelist which prevents unsupported wlan cards from being installed, so you have to get the part listed in the service manual and it must have the HP part number on it or it will not work.

Check eBay and query by the part number.

Intel Centrino® Advanced-N 6230    HP part #  636672-001

As you can see from the link below, the above wlan card is widi capable and I have personally used this model card to project to my smart TV using windows 7.

That is your only option if you want to try and get your notebook to project wirelessly.

Hi:

This is a peer to peer forum.

HP maintains no official presence here.

What model wireless card does your notebook have?

The processor you posted and Intel HD 3000 graphics are widi capable according to this...

http://ark.intel.com/products/53469/Intel-Core-i7-2670QM-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz

So, it is down to the wireless card.

Thank you for replying on this, my wireless card is atheros not intel.
