WINDOWS 10 Ralink RT3290 WiFi Adapter keeps disconnecting and disappearing from device manager

I have hp 15 r012tx laptop, i did a clean installation of windows 10. My wireless card has been acting up, sometimes it will drop connections and all i have to do is reconnect and it works fine and sometimes it just disappears from the device manager. When this occurs i have to restart the PC a couple of times just to get it working again. Although sometimes it might without a hitch for a few days before it starts acting up again. I have tried installing drivers from all sorts of place but none seem to work including the ones from official HP website specifically for my model.

Hi @MainaWycliffe,

Welcome to HP Forums!

I have read your post and wanted to help.

I understand that your the wifi connection works sometimes, and reinstalling the driver did not help.

Please try the steps on this link: HP PCs - Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet (Windows 10)

Let me know if any of the steps helps.
