HP 14 dq001dx laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Realtek RTL 8723de WLAN card that operates on 2.4 only.  I would like to know:

1.  Can t his laptop (HP 14 dq001dx laptop) accept a card that operates on 5g?

2.  If so, what would be the best choice of a card to upgrade the laptop?

3.  Is there an instructional video or document that would help me with swapping the card?

The laptop operates with Intel Core i3 8th Gen.

Thanks!

Hi:

Yes, you can do a direct swap for this card, since your notebook only has one antenna cable...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

The only place I have been able to find this model is on eBay.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the wifi adapter removal and replacement procedure...
