Dunno.
My Router/Modem from my ISP has an encryption level that requires a 'KEY' or Password.

I guess that there must be something like HotSpot settings where your Apple device is the Wi-Fi broadcaster and has a level of security, well hidden knowing what Apple are like. Perhaps if you asked in an Apple forum?
If however you have a Router/Modem then that is the place to look.
Maybe the WPS will help.
