I would like to upgrade the wireless card in my HP Envy 14 (14-2166se) (B4B15UA#ABA).
I recently purchased an Intel Network 7260.HMWG.R Revised WiFi Wireless-AC 7260 H/T Dual Band 2x2 AC + Bluetooth (model 7260.HMWG.R)
After I installed the new card, I received the following error upon boot-up "Wireless Module not supported. The system has detected a wireless module installed in the system is not supported. System halted. Please remove device and restart. WLAN Module ID (702)"
I would appreciate a list of the supported wireless cards I may use in my HP Envy 14 (14-2166se).
Thank you!

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
According to HP, the supported cards are listed in chapter 3 on page 21.
The Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 WLAN module requires 3 antennas to work correctly.

So, unless your notebook has 3 antennas in the compartment, the only card available is the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 WLAN module.
