I purchase a hp Chromebook just under a year ago and it has always been slow and had problems connecting to wifi etc. as I’m a college student this was impossible and I tried to contact my local store where purchased soon after but they were no help as it was gone beyond 20 days. Now as it’s time for me to return to college I am trying to resolve this problem again as I have learned hp have a years warranty, but when I looked into this I have found out my warranty was expired months before I even purchased my Chromebook???? How is this possible and is there anything I can do as I do not have my Chromebook a year yet so the warranty should still be valid? Thanks

Welcome to the HP community.
Your post was in a section of the community dealing with products of the former Polycom company and has therefore been moved. Poly/Polycom/Plantronics was acquired by HP in 2022 and originally focused on IP Phones, Video Conferencing, and Headsets. As your post is not directly related to this brand it has been moved to a section more suitable for your request

Warranty Dispute
The original warranty date is set at manufacturing and perhaps by the merchant who sells the device to the consumer.
