Just got my laptop back from warranty repair!
They basically replaced everything but the touchscreen. And that should have been replaced,Due to a nick on the screen where randomly the cursor will go to nonstop. If I reboot the computer. It will stop acting up for awhile!
But. The problem is the Wi-Fi ! Even right on top of my phone or router only gets 1 or no bars, and doesn’t connect! I’ve checked for updates to many times. Rebooted it. Blahh blahh.
I even had this problem before it went off for repairs.

Hi @Fooledagain,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Having weak or poor WIFI signal can be frustrating, but there are a few things you can try to improve the situation.
- Move closer to the WIFI router: The closer you are to the router, the stronger the signal will be.
- Remove obstacles: Walls, doors, and furniture can all interfere with WIFI signals. Try to remove as many obstacles as possible between your device and the router.
- Restart your router: Sometimes simply restarting your router can help improve WIFI signal strength.
- Update firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your router and install them. These updates can help fix bugs and improve the overall performance of the router.
- Change the channel: WIFI routers operate on different channels, and sometimes switching to a less crowded channel can improve signal strength.
- Use a WIFI range extender: If you have a large house or multiple floors, a WIFI range extender can help extend the range of your WIFI signal.
- Upgrade your router: If you have an older router, upgrading to a newer model can help improve signal strength and overall performance.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
