What wifi cards can I replace the stock with?

Envy m6-K010dx
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

Hi all, so I've read that there is a built in whitelist in the BIOS of some of there laptops.  I havent' been able to confirm if this model does, and I need to replace the wifi card in it.  The Ralink one sucks, so I'd like to upgrade to a better one.  Does anyone know where to find out if there is a whitelist in this model, and if HP has an updated BIOS that removes the whitelist?

Thanks

Hi,

Your machines uses AMD processor and supports the following wireless cards

Supports the following WLAN formats:
● Intel Wireless-N 7260BN 802.11 bgn 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 combo Adapter
● Ralink RT3290LE 802.11bgn 1x1 Wi-Fi + BT 4.0 Combo Adapter
● Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + BT 4.0 Combo Adapter
● Qualcomm QCA9565 802.11bgn 1x1 Wi-Fi + BT4.0 Combo Adapter
● Broadcom 4352 + Bluetooth combo w/ *2 antennas (802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0)
● Ralink RT3290LE 802.11bgn 1x1 Wi-Fi + BT 4.0 Combo Adapter
● Qualcomm QCA9565 802.11bgn 1x1 Wi-Fi + BT4.0 Combo Adapter

HP won't publish the whitelist but most likely HP removed this from mid 2014. Your machine was built sometimes around 2013.

Regards.
