Sorry @jonolg but your laptop can have Dual Band.

 

AC 3168  and  AC 7265

OK thanks I see it now. Need to check every aspect of the specification before buying. Thats really helpful. OK never mind I can live with the 2.4 - most other stuff in my network is on 5.0 so less conflict  anyway. Thanks again.
