Hi @Revathi_Siva,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing issues with the WiFi icon and settings on your HP Notebook. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

Restart your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix connectivity issues. Restart your laptop and check if the WiFi icon reappears.

Check Flight Mode: Ensure that your laptop is not in Flight Mode, as it disables all wireless connections. You can toggle Flight Mode on and off through the system settings.

Function Key: Many laptops have a function key (F key) that toggles the WiFi. Look for a key with an antenna symbol or "WiFi" text. Pressing this key with the "Fn" key might enable or disable the WiFi.

Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
  • Locate the "Network adapters" section and expand it.
  • Look for your WiFi adapter, right-click on it, and choose "Enable" if it's disabled.

Network Troubleshooter:

  • Open the Settings menu (Windows key + I).
  • Go to "Update & Security" > "Troubleshoot."
  • Run the "Internet Connections" troubleshooter.

Reinstall WiFi Drivers:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on your WiFi adapter and choose "Uninstall device."
  • Restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the drivers automatically.

Check Network Settings:

  • Open the Settings menu and go to "Network & Internet."
  • Check if your WiFi connection is listed and try reconnecting.

System Restore: If the issue started recently, you can try restoring your system to a point before the problem occurred using System Restore.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, there might be a hardware problem.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
