HP 14 Laptop PC 14-d5000 (4T802AV)

My laptop's WiFi adapter keeps disabling itself spontaneously when turning on the laptop from sleep. Troubleshooting or attempting to re-enable the adapter from the network manager does not do anything. This is infuriating as I am unable to connect to any wireless networks. The only thing that fixes this problem is restarting the laptop, but this takes 5-10 minutes and often results in a blue screen of death saying DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. Is there anything that can be done to fix this problem?
