WiFi issues while on the docking station

HP Recommended
HP Elitebook 840 G5/G6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I  work for the IT Infrastructure Support and we have more than 500 Elitebooks (All G1 to G6).

Recently a few users have reported that while the laptop is docked and using WiFi - the WiFi signal becomes very weak and data transfer speed drops quite a lot.

If these users remove the laptop from the docking station it resolves the issue.

We use wired docking stations in the office but since most of the users are working from home now and many of these are using docking stations as well - this has become an issue.

Hello

for sure it's not an easy issue to solve.

the fact that you have the same issue on several generation of products , you have to think about what such different models have in common beyond the ultraslim docking station.

Do you have also a LAN cable connected to the ultraslim docking station ?

Sometime VPN software , such else pulse secure or cisco anyconnect , create issue. do you have such software on your Windows 10 environment ?

USe HP Image Assistant , with never models, to check if you have all driver updated.

bye
