WiFi not connecting

Probook 430
Hello hope someone can help.

My WiFi button remains orange even after I press it and when it is within reach of mt WiFi connection. My WiFi at home is fine as I am using it now with my mobile phone.

I have gone to device manager>other devices >network controller> details> hardware IDs> and the top string starting with PCI\VEN is;

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3165&SUBSYS_40108086&REV_81

Hope this helps

Hi:

You need this driver... Good for windows 7 and 8.1...

This package contains drivers for the Intel Wireless LAN in supported models running a supported operating system.

Driver for W10...

Thank you, do I just click the link and follow instructions?

The only reason I knew to do all that other stuff was from reading your conversation with someone who had the same problem.

You're very welcome.

Yes, that is all you need to do.  The driver should install automatically.

Not a problem...

You will have to download the file from another PC, copy it to a usb flash drive, plug the flash drive into your PC's USB port and double click to run the file.
