WiFi option has disappeared and cannot enable it.

I updated my laptop to Windows 10 because the updates were automatic. When the updates were first completed, the WiFi option disappeared completely and I couldn’t even find it to turn it on. I read a lot of forums to find network adapters and I tried updating everything, disabling, and re-enabling the options. Nothing worked. The windows 10 version is 1909. I left the laptop alone for about 2 weeks and when I turned it back on, the WiFi adapter must’ve resolved its issues because it started working perfectly fine again. It’s been a couple of months since that incident but about 2 days ago, I was watching Netflix on my laptop when it froze. This robotic noise played from the speakers for a second and the laptop became completely unresponsive so I had to shut it down manually by holding the power button down. When I turned the laptop back on, the WiFi network options completely disappeared and I can’t even find it to fix the issue.
