Wifi 6 card

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I tried the upgrade to an intel 8265NGW card that is not recognised at all by windows.

Is there a wifi 6 card to replace the original (and crappy) rtl8723be?

Your notebook has a BIOS whitelists that restricts most other wifi cards from working.

I also assume since your notebook has the RTL8723BE wifi adapter, that there is only one antenna wire that connects to it.

All wifi 6 cards would require two antenna wires to be connected in order to work correctly.

We have discovered that there is a 'less crappy' Realtek card you can upgrade to, and that is this one...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express, or direct from HP...

I see some Intel 3165 cards listed on the eBay listings, so don't buy those.

HP parts store...16 euros.

Magasin de pièces HP - Pièces d'ordinateur HP - Pièces d'imprimante HP - Pièces Compaq

On the Ali Express listings, make sure the card has the HP Part # of 915620-001.

The above card will provide a max throughput of 433 MB/S on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router and the same throughput as the RTL8723BE on the 2.4 GHz wifi band.

This discussion shows that it is possible to successfully install the above card in the 15-acxxx model series.

You can get the latest wifi and bluetooth drivers for the above card from the links below.
