@DLI25, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your Wi-Fi adapter not working!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your WiFi adapter on your OMEN by HP 16.1-inch Gaming Laptop. Let's try a few steps to get it working again:
Check if the WiFi Adapter is Enabled
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network Adapters and see if the WiFi adapter is listed.
- If you see a small arrow next to it, right-click and select Enable (if available).
Update or Reinstall the WiFi Driver
- In Device Manager, right-click on your WiFi adapter.
- Select Update driver → Search automatically for drivers.
- If that doesn’t help, you can try uninstalling the driver:
- Right-click the WiFi adapter → Uninstall device → Restart your laptop.
- Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
Reset Network Settings
- Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Advanced network settings → Network reset.
- Follow the prompts and restart your laptop.
Check the Physical Wireless Switch or Function Key
Some laptops have a physical WiFi switch or a function key combination (like Fn + F12) to enable/disable WiFi. Make sure it’s turned on.
Run the Network Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings → System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters → Internet Connections → Run.
- Follow the suggested fixes.
If none of these steps work, let me know — I’m happy to explore more solutions with you! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
