HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-eh1000 (2H5A6AV)

My WiFi has suddenly stopped working after I performed a cleaning of my Pavilion 15-eh1101au. The WiFi card is not being detected at all. The antenna cable is also slightly damaged. Where can I get a replacement for these parts?

Hi @urwithshobhit,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your WiFi card may have become loose or the antenna damage is affecting the connection. Here's what you can try.

Check Device Manager

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Network adapters and look for your WiFi card.
  • If it's missing, check under Unknown devices or Other devices.

Reinstall Drivers

  • If the WiFi card appears, uninstall it, restart the laptop, and let Windows reinstall the drivers.
  • If it's missing, manually download and install the latest WiFi drivers from the HP support page.

Reseat the WiFi Card

  • Open the laptop again and carefully remove and reinsert the WiFi card.
  • Make sure the card is properly secured in its M.2 slot.

Check the Antenna Cables

  • If the antenna cable is damaged or disconnected, this could cause the card to stop working.
  • If it’s slightly torn but still connected, it may still work but with weak signals.
  • If it’s severely damaged, you may need a replacement antenna.

Test with an External USB WiFi Adapter

  • If the internal card is not detected at all, try using a USB WiFi adapter to confirm if it’s a hardware issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
